London has a lot of business establishment and many companies have their headquarters in it. At the same time the City is very lively. One man’s purpose of travelling to London may be different from the other. Travellers come to London either for business or to visit famous London Landmarks. London is a business Centre and also has a lot of tourists attraction centres. The Popular and most visited Landmarks include Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus and London Eye.Shopping in London has become an addiction for some shoppers. Some of Europes famous shopping streets are Oxford Street, Bond street and Regents street. They have a lot of shops.
Establishments fear the effects of the world reccession. Businesses have to result to closing down operations and making people redundant. Retrenchment has been the order of the day in many industries. Experts say it will take time for big economies to recover from the reccession. There is one industry which the Credit crunch has not affected. This is the hotel industry. How is the credit crunch affecting the London hotels? Only London hotels and bed and breakfast have been taken into account for this article.
London hotels industry do not seem bothered despite the economic crisis because it is not yet affected negatively according to my little research. Our booking Agency has been working with bed and breakfast and big hotels for a very long time. The research was started in August 2008 but London hotels continue to be busy to date.
Hotels can log onto our real time system to close our all the dates they do not have rooms and also for the dates they think they can sell without our assistance. How come hotels are still getting full every weekend and also weekdays despite the economic crisis
.
Hotels were almost full up each day in 2008 between March and July. Lack of rooms on our real system for our guests is bringing our revenue down. Hotels close out dates on the system frequently. Some hotels have already closed out for some future dates due to over booking for those date in London. Rooms in some hotels run out and they have to speak to other hotels to accept guests and accommodate some of their guests for them. We cannot get rooms for our clients because hotels have closed out on our real time booking system.
The reason that the credit crunch has not affected the London hotel industry is that it may be due to the fact that travellers get more money when they exchange their money for the pound which has become cheaper. The influx of passengers means that hotels will fill up. However, the British pound was a bit strong against some major currencies in some parts of the year 2008. Are people compelled to come to London regardless of the situation? If other findings are made, information will be made available. If there is crisis in the hotels industry in london travellers will gain from it in the form of lower hotel rates. This is because they will be guaranteed special London hotel offers, cheap London hotels accommodation and also cheap London bed and breakfast rates. The Tavistock hotel London is an example of such hotels.
